1968 Chevrolet C-10 Pickup Fleetside Long Box, Sea Green/Tan, 43,447 Miles

1968 Chevrolet C10 Pickup. 307ci V8 Engine. 3 Speed Manual Transmission. RWD.

This 1968 C10 Chevrolet fleetside (long box) pickup truck has only 43,447 original miles, second owner, and has been carefully restored to 100% basic stock condition, worthy of showing in any car show. Basic stock means it was restored to original condition of truck when manufactured, which means no radio and no air conditioning. Slots are there to add them.

Two copies of the GM manufacturing orders on this truck were found beneath the seat, which gives the history of the vehicle and then information about it. One copy was consulted and used throughout this restoration (and will be sent with your clean title) and the other copy remains under the seat where it was found. As the second owner
was a lifelong collector of all things automotive, a copy of Motor's Crash Book Illustrations for this vehicle also will accompany the title.

This heavy half-ton truck with an eight-foot box came to New Mexico from Washington state and was last licensed in 1996. It has a 307 engine and three-speed transmission on the steering column, as made, with a posi-traction axle. It features full gauges inside.

Fresh 20-year PPG Ditzler's best quality Delstar Acrylic Enamel paint at $110 per gallon was used in this restoration. It is sea green in color, or what we used to call vintage forest service green. This is the original color of the truck. It has sea green interior and tan or light brown side panels newly painted and tan best leather-look GM seat cover (leather being unavailable), professionally installed. Runs easy and is an easy start.

This was only a box-off restoration as the truck was in such good condition when purchased from the brother of the original owner.

Under the hood, the inner fenders, frame and radiator have been re-blacked with the correct instructional labels in the glove box for the next owner to install or not.

Underside of the box was reblacked, and shocks were repainted.

The steering wheel, door panels and arm rests were repainted. The Chevrolet letters in the tailgate were repainted. License plate light and grill bowtie are correct. All hub caps are as new and rebuffed. All plastic lenses are correct and rebuffed. Glass is perfect.

This truck is about as close to being 100% brand new as a 1968 truck can be.

Since restoration, it has always been stored in an enclosed space. Less than one mile added since restoration. Should start easily when battery recharged. Dust gets in from the dust storms in the area. Widow of current owner monitors tire pressure and condition of the fuel. No additives have been added to fuel, which continues to be good at this time. Clean New Mexico title.
